Le Panoramic Hotel Sancerre, Sancerre

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms, although clean and comfortable, had a view of the roof, traffic noise, and parked cars, making the value for money not so great in my opinion. On the bright side, the service was brilliant and the staff really friendly and helpful. The hotel's location near the center of Sancerre was convenient, with easy access to the main square and free parking in front of the reception. The dining options were acceptable but could have been better with more fresh fruit, and the overall facilities were satisfactory.

The hotel offers fine views over the valley, with routine yet smallish rooms, decent TV, no tea-making facilities, easily open windows, plenty of hot water, a good bed, and clean spaces. However, better storage options for clothing would enhance the room experience. The valley/vineyard views are captivating.

I have been coming to this hotel for the past 5 years every time I visit Sancerre, and I can say that the rooms here are top-notch. While the rooms with a panoramic view are truly exceptional, the ones overlooking the vines at half the price are also very comfortable and cozy. The service at checkouts has always been very friendly and helpful, and they even went out of their way to book us a fantastic dinner at a nearby restaurant. The location nestled in a valley surrounded by vineyards is truly a peaceful getaway, but it could use a bit of a refurb to elevate the experience. The dining experience, especially the breakfast overlooking the Sancerre grapevine fields, has always been a highlight despite some chaos during busy times. Overall, a great choice for a relaxing stay in the heart of wine country.
